turkey impressions

The last time I have been on a proper beach holiday was 2009, which is now 5 years ago, so obviously I was very excited about being able to get tanned, relax without having to feel guilty about it and of course capture some beautiful moments, some of which I know want to share with you.

I don't consider myself good at photography, but I really enjoy experimenting with different angles and types of light, so as keen as I am I once got up at 4.30 am to stroll to the beach and wait for the sun to rise. At first I felt very uncomfortable taking pictures because there was a security guy watching me for some reason, but then I just went ahead and remembered that I won't get this chance again in a while. All the pictures apart from the cat were taking with my new little Sony underwater camera and I am honestly impressed with what the pictures look like!

Sadly, all the pictures that I have taken underwater aren't worth putting up here; I find it really hard to open my eyes under water to I always just took random pictures and ended up having other peoples bodies on my photos haha. I hope you still like these ones :)

Gooooood night guys :) xx

the perfect lace dress

When I spotted this adorable lace dress with a subtle floral pattern at Camden Market, it was love at the first sight, but I was skeptical as to whether it would fit me because I am not the skinniest girl & wearing tight dresses is not happening for me right now. When I tried it on I realised that it was quite lose but also didn't look shapeless, it was perfect. And considering it wasn't very expensive, I took this gorgeous beaut home with me.

In Turkey I finally got to wear it for the first time, because I wanted to wait until I caught a bit of a tan and had a location that would do my little dress justice. As I mentioned, the dress is from a little store on Camden Road, my hairband is from Greenwich market and my bag is from Brandy Melville

Have a good night <3

crochet, beads & flowers

Hey everyone :) If you follow me on twitter you might know that I am in Turkey right now with my dad and my brothers. We are staying in a Magic Life hotel which basically means free food & drinks all day (tbh that's what I was most excited for haha), but I also get to wear my summery clothes that I haven't really worn a lot, yet as Vienna decided to go skip summer and go straight into November this year. So before we went to eat dinner, I managed to get some outfit pictures taken.

The top I am wearing is from New Look and I absolutely adore it! It has some little beads on it which make the top look very cute and more unusual than a plain white top. I am also deeply in love with these coral crochet tops that I got from Zara. I am not a person that wears a lot of colour, but before going on holiday I told myself that I need to switch up my usual boring style a little and add some colour to my wardrobe to make everything a little bit more summery. My bag is from Brandy Melville, my watch from Urban Outfitters, the flower crown from Greenwich market & my shoes are from Hilfiger

Are you going on holiday this summer? :) xx

London beauty shopping

For a couple of months I have been writing numerous make up items to purchased down on my London wishlist; beauty shopping in England is always very exciting for me because there are plenty of brands that we don't get here in Austria. If you have been following me for a long time, you might remember that I posted a Make Up haul from England too and there were a lot of items, in fact it was kind of getting out of control so this year I knew that I wouldn't want to exaggerate my beauty shopping again.

The first few items that I picked up were lip products which most of you have probably heard of; they're the Revlon lip crayons that come in different varieties like matte, lacquer or balm stain. I was mainly excited for the matte balms from which I purchased 205 elusive and 210 unapologetic, but I also picked up a balm stain in the colour 045 romantic. The matte balms have a great colour pay off, where as the balm stain applies rather sheer which I was kind of disappointed with; I'm just gonna have to put a lot of layers over each other haha!

Next, I picked up the Nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser in the shade terre neuve, because I love a lighter base in the summer rather than caking on lots of full coverage foundation. I also picked up the Bourjois Healthy mix serum in the shade Light vanilla, which was the lightest one available I believe. I'm really happy with both of them, the colours are probably more appropriate when I'm tanned than when I'm not & both of them don't look cakey at all, they have a really natural finish.

I was very excited when I went into Urban Outfitters and found the EOS lipbalms, so many american youtubers talk about them, but I have never been to a store that actually stocks them before, so although they were more expensive than on amazon, I picked one in the minty flavour up, and I love it! It moisturises my lips pretty well & I'm also in love with what it tastes like, I actually have to hold myself back from licking it off my lips! For ages I have wanted a beauty item from topshop, but I kind of find them a little bit expensive & I wasn't really impressed with anything so far, but this time I fell in love with a lipstick in the colour hazard. It's a dark red and although this isn't the most summery colour I have been really enjoying this product so far. And the very last lip product is the Rimmel apocalips lip lacquer in the colour Big Bang. On the packaging it looks like a normal red lip colour, yet applied on the lips it turns kind of pink/coralish which I didn't really like at first because I had this perfect red in my head, but I think I'll find a way to wear it, especially in summer.

Initially I want to buy a Nars concealer as they're supposed to be really good, but then i decided to go for a more budget friendly option and bought the Rimmel Wake me Up concealer in the lightest shade. I think it does a really good job at covering up the under eye area, but I haven't had any spots recently (yay!) so I don't know how well it covers blemishes. When you made a Rimmel purchase in Boots over £9 then you got a Rimmel bronzer as a gift, so I thought I'd include that in my Haul as well.

And last but not least I picked up three nail polishes from Barry M in the shades Elderberry, Coconut and Foil effects. The first two are really neutral shades which probably look best when you're tanned, because they're very light shades.

Have you made any beauty purchases recently? Is there something that I should pick up next time I'm in the UK? :)

in love with england

If you follow me on my twitter, you will probably know that I have been in London for a few days last week. I went there with my mum & as we both have been to London several times already we left out the typical touristy activities and mainly went to other places.

I do love the inner city of London, but places that I love even more are areas like Greenwich or Notting Hill. I just adore the little houses and adorable independent shops as well as the markets; If I ever got the chance to live in London I would definitely prefer living in a calmer area like that rather than the busy and hectic central London. To go to Greenwich we went on a little cruise that started right next to the London eye, it was lovely to see areas of London that I have never seen before and houses that I can only dream to live in.  Also, we got a full view of The Shard, which I think is such an impressive building! I have never been to a city like New York that has thousands of high buildings like that, so this was definitely impressive to me. Sadly, it was pouring down that day so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been.

On Monday we went to my favourite place ever; Brighton. I have visited this place so so many times before, especially during my exchange year as Eastbourne (the place where I lived) was only an hour or so away. I just adore Brighton, I love the cute little houses, the seaside and just the whole atmosphere; I 100% want to live there one day, I am just deeply in love with this city haha.

And the two last places I was very excited about visiting were Whole Foods & Liberty. Whole Foods is a food shop that sells pricier, but really really good food! I bought a pack of chocolate & cinnamon kale chips for 4 Pounds which is very expensive considering the amount that you get, but they are SO tasty and way healthier than snacking on some crisps or a bar of chocolate. I wish we could get kale chips in Austria! Liberty is a place that I know because of Instagram, as probably everyone that walks past this shop uploads a picture of their gorgeous flowers (so did I haha). In Liberty's you can find all sorts of stuff from clothing over beauty to fabric, and the house seems really old which I think was so cool!

Of course I have many many more things that I would like to tell you about, but I don't want to bore you with the details haha :) If you do want to see more though, I have uploaded a video on my YouTube channel, which I honestly quite like because of the many, but short clips so you get to see a lot in like 2 minutes haha :) Make sure to come and say hello on my YouTube channel if you are interested!

Have a looooovely day <3

the perfect pair of ripped jeans

On top of my 'what to buy in London' list was a pair of black ripped jeans, I love the kind of edgy look of them and nice black jeans are a wardrobe staple that my wardrobe has not seen in a very long time, so I was more than excited when I spotted these Jamie jeans in Topshop. Buying jeans, or trousers in general is never something that I enjoy, I never feel like they fit or look right on me, but I honestly was surprised when I tried these ones because they felt so perfect! I always hesitate when I buy jeans with a price tag over 50€, but considering the last good pair of jeans that I have bought is about 2 years ago, I went for the Moto Jamie Jeans.

In this outfit, which I wore on my second day in London, I combined the jeans with a flowy top from Miss Selfridge, a hat from Topshop and a cardigan from Vero Moda. I really want to start wearing this hat more because I am in love with it, but if you wear things like this in Vienna you stick out of the crowd which I don't really enjoy whereas in London it's kind of normal and not a big deal at all.

I was going to post all my outfit on the same day as I wore them whilst I was in London, but my phone provider didn't let me connect to 3LikeHome, hence I had no internet except in restaurants or caf├ęs. (btw, not having internet access 24/7 is so relaxing, you need to try it haha!)
