floral shirt, white skirt

Yesterday I went to see a musical called The Visit. Before that we went to eat at Vapiano and took some outfit pictures in the park next to the restaurant. I enjoy wearing summer clothes so much right now, it's lovely to be able to wear things that I haven't been able to wear for months! In fact, I have never had the chance to wear this skirt before, because white skirts look ridiculous with dark tights, in my opinion. So as soon as the temperatures went up, I grabbed this gorgeous piece and wore it with a floral crop top, both items are from Brandy Melville as well as the bag & on top of it I wore a blue blazer from New Look to make the outfit more theatre appropriate.

Seeing performances like that always makes me miss musical theatre so much! Four (or five?) years ago I was part of a theatre group as well and although I had the tiniest part ever, I enjoyed performing so much, hence seeing people dancing and singing onstage makes me kind of emotional haha.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sun! :) xx

Breakfast in the DC Tower

Something that you might not know about me is that I am an absolute breakfast lover. Although I eat the same bowl of weetabix with almond milk every single morning, I get overly excited about it. As a late mothers day celebration we went out for breakfast in the DC Tower in Vienna today, and oh my god, it was delicious. I have never had american style pancakes with maple syrup before, so when I spotted them on the menu (which was included in the buffet price!) I ordered them, loved them, ordered them a second time. If I could, I would describe to you how good they were, but no words could do them justice, they were absolutely perfect! I also had strawberries, a cinnamon roll, a cake and potatoes but nothing comes close to the deliciousness that were those pancakes. Before I continue expressing my love for those pancakes now though, I will simply wish you all a lovely sunday evening! What was the best thing you have eaten this weekend? :) x

rise like a phoenix

First of all, I need to express my happiness about the fact that Conchita won the ESC 2014. The last time Austria won was 1966 and that's kind of a long while ago. After checking all the social media after work and seeing how many people liked Conchita I somehow had the feeling that we are going to do well this year & I was so so happy when we actually got the most points. It just feels so great that a person that does not conform to the standards of our society is able to reach something big and be who she wants to be. This night is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom.

As it was mothers day today in Austria, we went out for lunch to an Austrian restaurant with the whole family. I was planning on taking some proper outfit pictures outside but the weather didn't agree with my plan & decided to pour down :( I hope this is going to change soon, I need to start getting a tan! So as I couldn't take pictures outside I decided to take pictures of my make up, which wasn't anything special, but oh well haha.

After months I dug my MAC matchmaster foundation out of my drawer and I kind of missed using it, I feel like I can never attach to a foundation at first, I need to leave it in the corner for a few months and eventually I'll like it again. Then I wore the bronzer* from ArtDeco that I wear every day, eyeshadows* as well from ArtDeco, a MaxFactor mascara that I've just recently discovered which is great because it actually gives a lot of volume, my L'oreal super liner which makes drawing and eye line super easy and my beloved LipGlaze* from JCats. For the past couple of weeks I have also worn Essie's cute as a button, I am obsessed with this colour, it is the most perfect shade for spring ever!

Did you do something special for mother's day? :)

I have short hair!

Yesterday I finally had my long awaited appointed at my hairdressers to get my hair cut short. Almost every single blogger or youtuber has cut their hair in the past few months & I just wanted to join the bandwagon and try something different, as I have had quite long hair for the past few years. First of all I wanted to mention that I absolutely loved the hairdresser I have been to. I went to a place called Kamm&Cut in Vienna and didn't expect much of it as almost every hairdresser I have ever been to has had pretty average costumer service, but the people there were just so lovely & you could see that they genuinely loved their job.

The t-shirt that I am wearing is a boyfriend shirt from Primark & I currently am in love with everything that has stripes on it, so I had to get it. The hat is also from Primark and I didn't actually wear that when I went outside I just wanted to show you my two most recent purchases :)

Also I do want to apologise for the black and white photo, but I am just a failure when it comes to choosing the right aperture & ISO setting so my skin just looks way to dark on the original, SORRY :)

Are you also planning on switching your hair up a little for the Spring/Summer season? :)
